[Remote] Staff Network Engineer

The Staff Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure across various environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and security.ResponsibilitiesDesigning and implementing complex network solutions across on-prem, public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), and hybrid environmentsManaging and maintaining network infrastructure including routers, switches, and cloud-native networking servicesTroubleshooting network issues across L2/L3, overlay networks, cloud fabrics, and ISP peering domainsMonitoring performance and security across data center, WAN, internet edge, and cloud environmentsDesigning and supporting highly available multi-region cloud architectures and hybrid connectivity modelsImplementing and optimizing connectivity to public cloud (Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Cloud Interconnect, VPNs)Supporting internet edge design including peering, transit, and route optimizationCollaborating with cross-functional teams on network automation, cloud deployments, and infrastructure modernizationDocumenting configurations, architectures, and best practices across hybrid and cloud environmentsMentoring junior engineers in modern networking including cloud and service provider technologiesSkills8+ years of experience as a network engineer (CCNP or equivalent preferred)Calm under pressure, team-oriented, flexible, and customer focusedExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to create, interpret, and implement high/low level designs in both greenfield and brownfield environmentsExperience with integration and migration strategies for hybrid workflowsDeep understanding of the following technologies: BGP (including route reflectors, confederations), EVPN / VXLAN, L2/L3 switching, IPv6Strong security experience including IPsec, SSL, and DDoS mitigationHands-on experience in multi-vendor environments including Cisco Nexus, 6500s, ASAs, and Palo AltoAutomation experience with Python, Ansible, and shell scriptingHands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP networking constructs, including: VPC / VNet design and segmentation, Security Groups / NSGs / firewall policies, Hybrid connectivity solutions: AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, GCP Interconnect, Site-to-site and client VPN architecturesFamiliarity with multi-cloud networking, transit hubs, and landing zone architecturesExperience with cloud network security models and zero-trust principlesStrong understanding of internet routing and ISP architecturesExperience with: eBGP peering, transit providers, and IX (Internet Exchange) connectivityKnowledge of carrier-grade networking concepts, including: MPLS, L3VPNs, and EVPN in SP environmentsExperience working with ISPs, circuit provisioning, and troubleshooting last-mile and backbone issuesCompany OverviewKaseya is an IT and security management platform that offers remote management software for the information technology industry.
