[Remote] Staff ML/AI Platform Engineer

As a Staff ML/AI Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for platform engineering to productionize and scale AI/ML products while collaborating with ML Engineers and Data Scientists.ResponsibilitiesDesign, prototype and productionize scalable AI/machine learning modelsPlay a critical in setting up the best practices in machine learning, setting direction of the machine learning platformDevelop frameworks, pipelines, libraries, utilities and tools that process massive data for ML tasksPartner with ML engineers and data scientists to troubleshoot and optimize complex ML pipelinesWork with product managers and business partners to gather requirements for machine learning modelsBuild model deployment platform that can simplify implementing new modelsBuild end-to-end reusable pipelines from data acquisition to model output deliveryMentor and guide junior data scientists to deploy their models into productionDesign & Build ML (engineering) solutions that unlock new ML modeling capabilities for BetterHelpSkills3+ years of experience in machine learning platform systemsExperience with autoscaling, and autoscaling such as load balancingSolid understanding of distributed computing and proven experience with themSuperb written and oral communication skillsExperience integrating ai/machine learning models in productionStrong background in shell or bash scriptingExperience building CICD pipelinesExperience with infrastructure as service tools such as terrafrom, cloud formationExperience working with AWS Lambda, ECS, ECR, Sagemaker or other cloud based platformsPrior experience in production deployments on AWS Lambda, Fargate, EMR, or AirflowExperience with development environment and deployments using DockerStrong knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including object oriented programming, data structures, and algorithmsExperience in writing data pipeline and machine learning libraries and utilitiesWillingness to learn new technologiesWillingness to mentor junior ml engineers and data scientistsComfortable in a high-growth, fast-paced and agile environmentExperience with building and training machine learning modelsExperience hosting open source AI models and LLMsExperience working and productioning feature storesExperience with Data stores such as S3, Snowflake, and DynamoDBBenefitsRemote work with regular in-person bonding experiences sponsored by the companyCompetitive compensationHolistic perks program (including free therapy, employee wellness, and more)Excellent health, dental, and vision coverage401k benefits with employer matching contributionAny piece of hardware or software that will make you happy and productiveAn awesome community of co-workersCompany OverviewBetterHelp is an online counseling platform that connects its members to licensed therapists.
