[Remote] Staff Engineer - Cloud Test

As a Staff Engineer – Cloud Test, you will take ownership of test strategy and quality outcomes, design and deliver comprehensive test plans, and ensure product reliability from feature design through production release.ResponsibilitiesOwn test strategy and quality outcomes for features from design through releaseDesign and implement test plans, test designs, and automation for new and existing featuresImprove product reliability, performance, and scalability through early defect detection and risk identificationBuild and manage lab environments that simulate real customer networking deploymentsAnalyze logs, triage issues, and identify root causes of defectsIdentify release blockers, evaluate quality risks, and influence release readiness decisionsPrioritize test coverage and manage testing timelines for feature deliveryAnalyze customer-reported defects and improve test coverage and toolingCollaborate with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to improve product qualityMentor engineers and contribute to testing best practices across the teamSkills6+ years of experience in QA testing in networking/security-focused rolesStrong understanding of network protocols, especially BGPProficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)Expertise in Linux environments and scripting (Python, Shell)Experience using AI tools such as Cursor, Claude-CodeProficiency in coding in Golang (preferred)Experience with Kubernetes and microservices architecturesExperience with workflow orchestrationExperience with database systemsProficiency in various testing techniques: Functional testing, Performance testing, Stress testing, Security testing, Integration testing, End-to-end testing, API testing, Regression testingFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesExperience with test management tools and bug tracking systemsStrong team player with excellent collaboration skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldProven track record in test automation for SaaS developmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesBenefits100% of employee premiums and 88% of dependent(s) premiums for medical, dental and vision coverage401(k) matchShort and long-term disabilityLife/AD&D insurance$1,000/year education reimbursementFlexible vacation policyComprehensive benefits package which, (subject to regional variations) could include pensionPrivate medical for you and dependentsGenerous holiday allowanceLife assuranceLong-term disabilityAnnual wellbeing stipendCompany OverviewAviatrix® is a leading cloud network security company.
