Remote Staff Accountant/CPA - Tax, Bookkeeping & Payroll

Overview We are a small growing CPA firm seeking a dependable remote accounting professional to assist with tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and client support. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced small firm environment. This is a fully remote position with flexible scheduling. Responsibilities • Prepare individual and business tax returns and review with clients • Perform bookkeeping and bank reconciliations • Classify transactions in QuickBooks • Process payroll and payroll tax filings • Review and clean up accounting records for new clients • Assist with month-end and year-end accounting work • Communicate with clients regarding requested information and accounting questions • Maintain accurate client records and documentation Qualifications • Active CPA license • 1–3 years of accounting or public accounting experience • Experience with bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation • Experience with QuickBooks Online required • Experience with TaxDome or similar software is a plus • Strong attention to detail and time management skills • Ability to work independently in a remote environment • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Pay: $56,471.88 - $62,009.14 per year Benefits: • Flexible schedule • Work from home Application Question(s): • Please provide a cover letter explaining your bookkeeping, payroll and tax experience.
