They are seeking a Staff Accountant to maintain financial records, manage accounts receivable and payable, and support payroll and HR administrative functions.ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate and well-organized financial records utilizing accounting softwareAssign revenue and expenses to the correct categories with precision and consistencyPerform regular account reconciliations and proactively identify and resolve discrepanciesPrepare monthly financial summaries, reports, and supporting documentation for leadership reviewSupport budgeting, audits, and financial reporting needs as requiredManage the full accounts receivable cycle including client invoicing, payment tracking, and follow-up on outstanding balancesProcess vendor invoices and ensure accurate and timely payment of all accounts payable obligationsMaintain organized and audit-ready records of all AR and AP activityReview employee expense reports for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policyEnsure all expenses are appropriately coded and escalate questionable items to leadership as neededProcess approved expenses accurately and in a timely mannerServe as the primary liaison with our external payroll vendorEnsure all payroll inputs are accurate and submitted on schedule including hours, compensation changes, deductions, and adjustmentsReview payroll reports prior to processing and resolve discrepancies in a timely mannerMaintain payroll records in compliance with applicable federal and state regulationsCoordinate employee onboarding logistics including new hire documentation, system access, and benefits enrollmentManage offboarding processes including final pay coordination, systems deactivation, and required documentationMaintain accurate and confidential employee records in accordance with applicable regulationsSupport additional HR administrative functions as assignedSkillsMinimum 5 to 7 years of hands-on bookkeeping and full-cycle accounting experienceDemonstrated proficiency in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll coordinationStrong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial compliance, and regulatory standardsProficiency in QuickBooks Online or comparable accounting softwareAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modelingExceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing prioritiesStrong problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented approachEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage time effectively in a fully remote environmentU.S. residency requiredAssociates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experienceCPA certification or relevant professional credentialsExperience in a small business, boutique firm, or professional services environmentFamiliarity with healthcare, revenue cycle, or consulting industry financialsExperience with HR onboarding and offboarding processesBenefitsFlexible part-time schedule of approximately 20 to 25 hours per weekFully remote position with schedule flexibility for the right candidateCompetitive hourly compensation commensurate with experienceA collaborative, collegial team environment where your contributions are valued and your expertise is trustedCompany OverviewC3 specializes in revenue cycle and payor operations services.
