[Remote] Staff Accountant

They are seeking a Staff Accountant to drive the monthly close process and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP. Responsibilities Perform general accounting duties include various components of the month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and reconciliations Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance with GAAP Consolidated balance sheet and income statement analysis Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and compliance with company policies while maintaining up‑to‑date and organized AP records and annual 1099 reporting Providing accounting support to various constituents (e.g., FP&A, Actuary, HR, legal) Perform other related responsibilities as assigned Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or relative work experience 1+ years of accounting work experience Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations Healthcare industry experience Intercompany allocations and system automation experience Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table, Lookup functions, etc.) Benefits Short-term incentives Comprehensive benefits package Company Overview Honest Health is the leader in primary care transformation.
