[Remote] Sr TPA Compliance Consultant

The Sr. TPA Compliance Consultant will manage and retain clients’ retirement plan business, provide compliance services, mentor team members, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards for various retirement plans.ResponsibilitiesReconcile asset balances (trust and participant accounts) and resolve discrepanciesPerform plan calculations when necessary, including eligibility, contributions, match, profit sharing, etcProcess transactions, including distribution and loan requests, forfeitures, etcEnsure compliance with plan document & IRS/DOL regulations as well as plan administrative practicesParticipate in peer review process to ensure accuracyMaintain accurate and timely recording of work tracking logsParticipate in plan design client callsAssist other Consultants as needed with more complex plan issuesOversee projects and report results and progress to Director of Compliance Consulting and TPA ManagerMaintain day-to-day client contact for inquiries on assigned plansCorrespond and consult with clients, team members, Producers & Relationship Managers to help manage client relationships and respond to all client or participant calls/emails within 4 business hoursUtilize industry knowledge with less experienced staff to mentor on systems and processes, work with team members to develop their compliance and consulting skills, resolve more complex reconciling issues, research complicated plan issues, and help correct errorsPrepare IRS Form 5500/SAR, audit packages, MRDs, required compliance tests, including but not limited to:Gather and reconcile required dataCoordinate with EPS Team to ensure consistency in procedures, client questionnaires, etcManage deadlines and complete assigned portions of checklistsCommunicate with clients/auditors as necessary to respond to questions or requests for informationReview results, develop corrective actions, present results/reports to clientsProvide guidance to team members to help identify which projects are part of core services or those that may require additional billingComplete required tracking spreadsheets for projects and non-core TPA services to ensure proper client invoicingParticipate in the transition of new business, provide consultative plan design discussions on document restatements; participate in periodic transition meetings/calls; review loans and system specs; assist other team members with conversionsComplete special projects as applicable, such as plan corrections, match, and/or profit-sharing calculations, DOL calculations, and VCP filingsSkillsBachelor's degree in Mathematics, Business, Finance or Accounting preferred or equivalent experienceSeven or more years related TPA/retirement experience required; ASPPA exam completion/certification required or willing to obtainStrong computer skills-solid knowledge of Windows environment, including Word & ExcelExcellent mathematical aptitude. Detailed and organized.
