Catapult Federal Services is an established telecommunications engineering consulting firm specializing in low voltage and telecommunications infrastructure solutions. They are seeking a Senior Telecom Design Consultant to lead infrastructure design projects, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams on commercial and mission-critical facilities.ResponsibilitiesLead design and documentation of low voltage telecommunications systems for commercial and mission-critical facilitiesCreate comprehensive telecom system models and coordination drawings using Revit softwareInterface with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure quality project delivery within established timelinesProvide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior design staffDevelop and review construction drawings, technical specifications, and project scope documentationCoordinate telecom designs with other building disciplines to ensure integrated project deliveryParticipate in client meetings, project coordination sessions, and site visits as requiredMaintain current knowledge of industry trends, code requirements, and emerging technologiesSupport business development activities and client relationship managementEnsure all deliverables meet company quality standards and client expectationsSkills10 - 20 years of proven experience in telecommunications or low voltage systems design and consultingExtensive hands-on expertise with Revit software is mandatory - must demonstrate advanced proficiencyStrong knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, cabling systems, and industry standardsExperience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interface effectively with clients and team membersStrong organizational and project coordination abilitiesProactive, solution-oriented mindset with ability to work independently and collaborativelyExperience with construction document preparation and specification developmentKnowledge of relevant codes, standards, and best practices in telecommunications designData center project experience is a significant advantageRCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification is highly desirableExperience working in a consulting environment or similar fast-paced technical services firmBackground with mission-critical facility design and infrastructure requirementsFamiliarity with other design software platforms and collaboration toolsPrevious experience mentoring or training junior technical staffBenefitsHealth insurance and medical benefits401(k) or retirement plan informationPaid time off policyProfessional development or tuition reimbursementOther perks and benefits offeredCompany OverviewCatapult Federal Services is headquartered in Plano, TX, with its primary business operations office located in the greater Washington, D.C. area.
