The role involves performing structural, functional, and dynamic analyses to ensure the integrity and performance of mechanical systems and equipment.ResponsibilitiesPerform structural and functional analyses to validate system performance under operational and transient conditionsEvaluate mechanism behavior, timing, clearances, and load paths during critical events and dynamic scenariosAssess performance under nominal and off-nominal operating conditionsAnalyze test fixtures, support structures, and instrumentation hardware subjected to static and dynamic loadingVerify the capability of test equipment and associated interfaces under mechanical, fluid, and electrical operating conditionsSupport qualification and verification activities for ground systems and hardwarePerform analyses of support structures, mechanical assemblies, and integrated systems subjected to operational, thermal, and environmental loadsEvaluate stiffness, strength, and stability requirements to ensure structural integrity and performanceDevelop hand calculations and finite element models to support design verification and validationPerform static, dynamic, thermal, and load path analysesDocument analysis results in formal reports supporting design reviews and hardware release activitiesCollaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and drafting teams to optimize structural performance and support design decisionsSupport troubleshooting, failure investigations, and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with applicable engineering standards, specifications, and safety requirementsSkillsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural EngineeringExperience with stress analysis tools and methodologiesExperience performing structural analysis using both classical hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA)Proficiency with industry-standard analysis tools such as ANSYS, Nastran, Abaqus, or equivalentKnowledge of structural analysis methods including: Static analysis, Dynamic analysis, Thermal analysis, Load path evaluation, Strength and stiffness assessmentsBenefitsMedical insuranceSick leave as applicable by state lawEligible for extension/conversionWe offer premium benefits to our contractorsCompany OverviewAverro was founded in 2010 It was founded in 2010, and is headquartered in Bellevue, WA , US, with a workforce of 501-1000 employees.
