The Sr. Solution Strategist will serve as the voice of the customer for commercial payment solutions, translating complex capabilities into value propositions and leading go-to-market strategies to drive adoption and revenue growth.ResponsibilitiesServe as the Commercial Payer Group subject matter expert supporting growth and strategic initiatives across marketsDevelop differentiated messaging, value propositions, and positioning for Optum Financials' Commercial Payments productsLead go to market planning and execution across payer, provider, and channel distribution segments through collaboration with internal market, growth, product and externalChampion the presentation of Commercial Group strategic content and solutions to customers and marketApply advanced analytics and quantitative insights in market facing engagements to exhibit consultative valueBuild relationships with key buyer and user personas to best understand market opportunitiesEnsure proposals include appropriate solution content, pricing strategy and value narrativePartner closely with product management to align roadmap decisions with customer insights, buyer needs, and market dynamicsSupport commercialization teams by ensuring product updates, releases, and enhancements are clearly communicated and well understoodLead and communicate strategic narratives, market intelligence, competitive analysis, and GTM strategy to senior leadership and cross functional partnersSupport annual and multi‑year strategic planning efforts for Commercial Payments, translating enterprise and business‑unit strategies into actionable prioritiesPartner with Finance and Strategy teams to support P&L performance monitoring, including revenue growth, margin trends, and investment returnsSupport team success by sharing knowledge, promoting collaboration, and championing a customer-first mindset across Optum FinancialSkills8+ years of experience in product marketing, product strategy, commercialization, or business strategy within complex healthcare organizations7+ years of experience leading and executing tactical go to market (GTM) strategy, including methodology ownership and cross-functional delivery5+ years of experience developing compelling value propositions and translating complex financial and technical concepts into clear, customer ready messaging5+ years of direct, C suite-level customer facing experience influencing strategy and decision-making3+ years of experience driving adoption and growth of complex healthcare payment and communication solutionsExperience collaborating across product, engineering, sales, analytics, marketing, operations, and finance to drive aligned outcomesSolid understanding of customer centric design principles, buyer journeys, and market research methodologiesProven track record of supporting successful product launches in complex, multi stakeholder healthcare B2B enterprise environmentsProven exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, align, and negotiate across senior stakeholdersWilling to travel up to 25% (Central and Eastern time zones)Experience collaborating with cross‑functional partners, including product, engineering, sales, analytics, marketing, operations, and financeExperience in healthcare payments, communications, fintech or payment operationsProven experience partnering on executive‑level initiatives, including preparing executive‑ready communications, presentations, and written materials for senior leadershipKnowledge of digital payments, card programs, healthcare communications, or reimbursement optimizationBackground in sales enablement, GTM orchestration, or enterprise product commercializationAll employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyBenefitsA comprehensive benefits packageIncentive and recognition programsEquity stock purchase401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements)Company OverviewWe’re evolving health care so everyone can have the opportunity to live their healthiest life.
