The role involves building and optimizing discovery patterns, creating service maps, managing event correlations, and ensuring platform health through various assessments and integrations. Responsibilities • Ideal candidate must be self-motivated team player with a proven track record implementing and maintaining ServiceNow solutions • Discovery & CMDB: Building, troubleshooting, and optimizing Horizontal and Vertical Discovery patterns to ensure the CMDB is a complete, accurate source of truth (the CSDM Guru). • Service Mapping: Creating and maintaining end-to-end Service Maps so we can instantly see the business impact of an outage. • Event Management: Connecting all our monitoring tools, writing correlation rules, cutting down the alert noise, and automating fixes (AIOps). • Platform Health: Running Health Scans and Instance Assessments to keep our ServiceNow instance running fast and clean. Using Performance Analytics (PA) to bolthires and fix trends. • Infrastructure: Everything Mid Server —setup, maintenance, and working with networking teams on port/firewall rules for Discovery. • Integrations: Building API connections (REST/SOAP/JavaScript) to link ServiceNow with tools like Splunk, Azure, and our monitoring stack.
