Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Energy Systems Group (ESG) is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their Public Sector PacificWest team. The role involves coordinating all aspects of project execution, managing finances, and ensuring customer satisfaction during project installation and support phases.ResponsibilitiesCoordinates with engineering staff to ensure that prompt and accurate estimates and pricing are achieved and consistent with project goalsDevelops and maintains ongoing contact with the customer to schedule and coordinate all work performed and to ensure clear and consistent communication about the project’s progress, costs and trainingAssists engineers in obtaining quotes from outside mechanical, electrical and construction contractors and vendors, chooses appropriate contractors and vendors for each project, issues contracts, schedules and manages all contractor and subcontractor work and ensures on time arrival of all project equipment and suppliesCoordinates with ESG Management, Finance and Accounting support groups to ensure project is on track and cost objectives are metReviews Project Metrics report with the project accountant that contains contract value, percent of completion, billings, contingency and margin; flags on report that generate action items include under billings by more than 5% and margin deviation by greater than 3%Monitors labor, materials, project modifications and work completion and makes changes as necessary to ensure achievement of project objectives within cost and time constraintsWorks with temperature controls contractors to ensure systems, software and control strategies achieve project goalsOversees all aspects of installation, working with all parties involved to proactively prevent and solve quality and other problems that may arise in the course of the projectCreate and maintain an efficient, effective project work force, providing training and supervision for each member assigned to the project and coordinating team member activities to meet project objectivesResponsible for ensuring adherence to all OSHA, Federal, State and safety regulations as well as all ESG policies and proceduresKeeps abreast of all changes in federal, state and local safety regulations and company policies as they pertain to the project installation and implements system changes as requiredAnalyzes project costs and works with accounting and finance departments to determine customer billingPerforms all financial management tasks within ESG’s financial management systems softwarePerforms related work as requiredSkillsBachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, with a preference for engineering or construction managementA minimum of seven (7) years' engineering and construction-related experience managing construction projectsExperience working on wastewater treatment, conveyance, or related infrastructure projects, including familiarity with regulatory requirements, permitting processes, and coordination with municipal or utility ownersExposure to project developmentExposure to working with and directing project teamsExperience in developing schedulesManaging project budgetsDemonstrated ability to successfully manage projects from development to project closureDemonstrated ability to manage project budgets and project schedules, properly document projects, and work well with customers and achieve customer satisfaction on every jobDemonstrated ability to work with others including customers in a professional and ethical mannerDemonstrated working knowledge of OSHA, Federal, and State Safety regulationsTen (10) years' experience engineering and construction-related experience managing construction projectsProject Management Professional (PMP)Certified Construction Manager (CCM)Designated Design Build Institute of America (DBIA)Three (3) or more years of direct project management experience on wastewater treatment plant construction, upgrade, or expansion projects, including experience with biological treatment systems, solids handling, or plant-wide control systemsBenefitsProfessional growth and development programsComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans for employee and familyLife insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and supplemental benefits401(k) Savings PlanPaid HolidaysPaid Time OffPaid Parental Leave for the birth, adoption, or placement of a child/childrenHighly competitive salaries and incentive structureCompany OverviewEnergy Systems Group (ESG) is a leading provider of performance-driven energy and infrastructure solutions nationwide.
