This role involves leveraging advanced recommendation algorithms and generative AI to enhance product discovery and customer satisfaction through collaboration with cross-functional teams.ResponsibilitiesDrive AI-Powered Personalization: Lead the development and optimization of AI-driven recommendation systems, leveraging generative AI to create personalized content and experiences that enhance product discovery and conversionGenerative AI Innovation: Explore and implement innovative applications of generative AI, including personalized product descriptions, tailored content generation, and AI-powered chat/search functionalitiesData-Driven Optimization: Analyze user behavior, performance metrics, and A/B testing results to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement of recommendation and AI featuresProduct Roadmap & Strategy: Define and prioritize the product roadmap for AI-driven recommendations and personalization, aligning with overall business objectives and customer needsUser Research & Insights: Conduct user research and analyze customer feedback to inform product decisions and ensure a customer-centric approach to AI developmentCross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, data science, UX/UI, and marketing teams to define requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful product launchesProduct Requirements & Design: Document detailed product requirements, user stories, and design specifications for AI-powered features, ensuring clear communication and alignment across teamsAgile Development: Actively participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectivesSkillsDeep understanding of e-commerce personalization techniques, including collaborative filtering, content-based filtering, and hybrid recommendation systemsProven experience with generative AI models (LLMs, diffusion models, etc.) and their application in e-commerce or related fieldsStrong understanding of API integrations for AI servicesProficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with experience using tools like Google Analytics, SQL, or similarExpertise in A/B testing and multivariate experimentation to drive data-driven decision-makingStrong understanding of machine learning concepts and their application to recommendation systems and personalizationExperience in defining and managing product roadmaps and prioritizing features based on business impact and customer valueExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersStrong understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices, with the ability to contribute to design discussions and wireframingExperience working in an Agile/Scrum environmentCustomer first mentalityExperience with cloud-based AI platforms (e.g., Google Cloud AI or Vertex AI, AWS SageMaker or Bedrock, OpenAI Enterprise)Experience with personalization platformsExperience with vector databasesExperience with prompt engineeringBenefitsEmployees (and their families) that meet eligibility criteria as outlined in applicable plan documents are eligible to participate in our medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance programs and may enroll in our company’s 401(k) plan.Employees will also be eligible for Time Off and Paid Sick Leave pursuant to the company’s policies.Employees will enjoy paid holidays throughout the calendar year.Hired applicant may be awarded Restrict Stock Units and receive annual bonuses pursuant to eligibility and performance criteria defined in the respective plan documents and policies.Company OverviewiHerb is on a mission to make health and wellness accessible to all.
