[Remote] Sr. Product Manager

The Sr. Product Manager will serve as a subject matter expert in HVAC and commercial refrigeration systems, ensuring that product development is grounded in real-world operational truth while delivering measurable customer value for enterprise-scale clients.ResponsibilitiesServe as the internal subject matter expert on commercial HVAC and/or refrigeration systems, facility management operations, and maintenance and repair workflowsDevelop detailed, engineering-ready product requirements documents (PRDs) for HVAC IQ (health scoring, capital planning, asset diagnostics, total cost of ownership) and Technician View (field-service troubleshooting, mobile-first workflows, technician self-service) or other interactive applicationsTranslate complex domain knowledge — fault code interpretation, asset lifecycle economics, technician workflows, comfort/cold-chain compliance — into clear use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria the Engineering team can build againstDefine and validate the data inputs, algorithms, and design (UI/UX) needed to evolve HVAC IQ through its multi-horizon roadmap (FM Priorities -> Capital Planning → Asset Diagnostics → Total Cost of Ownership and Repair/Replace decisions)Articulate the processes and change management to ensure the technology is adopted and used as intendedDevelop necessary training and communications artifacts in partnership with OperationsEngage directly with internal stakeholders, customers' facility management, energy, real estate, maintenance, procurement, and finance teams to deeply understand how they prioritize work, manage vendors, plan capital expenditures, troubleshoot assets, and use (or fail to use) data in decision-makingUndertake ride-a-longs, site visits, and technician shadowing to identify needs, validate product assumptions, and identify gaps in current workflowsPartner with Solutions Architecture and Customer Experience teams to support pilot scoping, discovery sessions, and customer feedback loopsWhen necessary, using applied problem-solving, rapid validation, and/or prototyping to bridge gaps between technical feasibility, user experience, and commercial viabilityWork closely with Engineering, Operations, Sales, Solutions Architecture, and Data Science to ensure product requirements are technically feasible and properly leverage Verantum's EnterpriseDX, TechView, Salesforce, and PowerBI platforms, real-time telemetry, and AI/ML capabilitiesCollaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop technically credible positioning, competitive differentiation, and go-to-market materials for HVAC IQ, Technician View, and other services including bundled offeringsSupport RFP/RFI responses with authoritative domain expertise on HVAC/R asset management, condition-based maintenance, and technician enablementMonitor trends in commercial HVAC/R, facility management technology (CMMS, FSM, BAS), and adjacent markets (e.g., IoT sensors, AI-driven diagnostics, refrigerant regulations such as the AIM Act)SkillsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC/R Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Science, or closely related technical discipline8+ years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following: HVAC/R system design, installation, or service;
