[Remote] Sr. Product Development Engineer

The Sr. Product Development Engineer will oversee all technical aspects of product development projects, collaborating with various teams to bring new products from concept to market while ensuring adherence to quality and regulatory standards.ResponsibilitiesLead a multi-functional team through the development of new products from concept, manufacturing implementation, and commercial launchHas responsibility for execution of the project plan and driving decisions to deliver the project on time, within budget, and within scopeResponsible for oversight of the product and tooling design, which includes leading ideation sessions, conducting competitive analysis, documenting design requirements, DFMEA, and leading design reviews to ultimately gain team alignmentCoordinate the Technical Development Plan that outlines all the details necessary for the Product Line Manager to respond to an RFQ or create a Business Case, including all cost inputs, capital equipment costs, and evaluation of the technologies required for the development and manufacturingLead technical communication with both internal and external stakeholdersResponsible for reporting deviations on time, cost, and deliverable project components to senior management as project progressesResponsible for adherence to Amcor, industry, and/or regulatory procedures as well as Management of Change, Stage Gate, and ISO processesWork closely with Quality personnel to establish critical to quality metrics and to ensure process capability is validated for those metricsSkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience5-7+ years of relevant Engineering experience within product development and manufacturing of plastic bottles required.
