[Remote] Sr. PHP Developer / Site Reliability / AWS

They are seeking a talented Sr. PHP Developer / Site Reliability / AWS to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of their systems while developing and maintaining high-quality web applications.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications using PHP, Symfony, and other web development technologies
ā¢ Developing new functionality, maintaining existing functionality, and learning how the product works
ā¢ Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications
ā¢ Communicating and liaising with other developers to explain how various components work and are supposed to be interacted with
ā¢ Managing back-end services and ensure smooth interchange of data
ā¢ Work with a team of developers to implement new features and bug fixes
ā¢ Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
ā¢ Deploying software tools, processes and metrics
ā¢ Maintaining and upgrading existing systems
ā¢ Set up and maintain Kubernetes clusters to enable containerized application deployment and scaling
ā¢ Implement auto-scaling solutions and load balancing to accommodate changing workloads and ensure system reliability
ā¢ Administer Redis for caching and data storage, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance
ā¢ Configure, secure, and maintain Linux-based servers, ensuring high availability and performance
ā¢ Maintain the security of the infrastructure, including access control, data encryption, and vulnerability assessments
Skills
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or equivalent experience
ā¢ 5+ years of PHP 5.4+ experience (they are on PHPv8.x)
ā¢ Strong understanding of Docker
ā¢ Strong understanding of Twig
ā¢ Strong understanding of Symfony
ā¢ Strong understanding of Linux
ā¢ Strong understanding of AWS
ā¢ Strong understanding of Kubernetes
ā¢ Strong understanding of Redis
ā¢ Strong understanding of Logstash
ā¢ Strong understanding of Kibana
ā¢ Experience with Agile, test-driven, and Scrum development methodologies
ā¢ Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration, including deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications
ā¢ Proficiency in Redis database management for caching and data storage, including configuring and optimizing Redis instances
ā¢ Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
ā¢ Understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, routing, and firewall configuration
ā¢ Experience developing with React
ā¢ Experience with performance optimization
ā¢ Experience with security best practices
ā¢ Experience with Mongo Sharding
ā¢ Understanding of HIPAA
ā¢ Understanding of EU Data Privacy Directive
