This role involves managing strategic partnerships, executing business opportunities, and leading cross-functional teams to meet organizational objectives.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact for assigned strategic partners, managing ongoing relationships and ensuring alignment with DIRECTV's business objectivesLead regular partner reviews, business planning sessions, and executive-level communications to maintain and grow partnership valueProactively identify opportunities to expand or optimize existing partnerships to drive incremental revenue and competitive advantageLead end-to-end execution of new business opportunities including deal structuring, negotiation support, due diligence, and operational implementationDevelop and manage detailed project plans to ensure timely and effective launch of new partnerships and commercial agreementsCoordinate across legal, finance, product, marketing, and operations teams to align stakeholders and remove execution barriersDefine, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned partnerships and business development initiativesConduct regular program audits and performance reviews, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions as neededDeliver clear and concise reporting to senior leadership on partnership health, pipeline status, and strategic outcomesConduct in-depth market, competitive, and technical analysis to evaluate new partnership opportunities and inform strategic decision-makingDevelop financial models and business cases to support investment decisions and partnership prioritizationMonitor industry trends and the competitive landscape to surface emerging opportunities or threats relevant to DIRECTV's strategyLead and influence cross-functional teams on business development initiatives without direct authority, driving accountability and alignmentCommunicate program changes, strategic updates, and implementation requirements across all relevant functional organizationsProvide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, supporting their professional development and day-to-day work qualitySkillsBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred3 – 5 years of progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, corporate development, or a related fieldDemonstrated track record of successfully leading complex partnership negotiations and executing multi-stakeholder initiatives from inception through launchAdvanced knowledge of business development frameworks, partnership structures, and strategic planning methodologiesStrong financial acumen with hands-on experience building financial models, business cases, and ROI analysesExcellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneouslySuperior communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior executives and external partnersProven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a matrixed organizationHigh proficiency in market research, competitive analysis, and data-driven decision-makingMay require a background check due to job duties requiring routine access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer's proprietary dataThis position requires but is not limited to 35 - 40% travelMBA or advanced degree a plusExperience in the media, telecommunications, or technology industry preferredBenefitsDIRECTV's compensation structure is designed to be market-competitive and fully supports efforts to attract and retain employees.Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones.Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.Please note that the salary ranges reflect base salary only and do not include bonus or benefits - when you consider all of these together, it represents a pretty impressive total compensation package.This position requires but is not limited to 35 - 40% travel.This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the contiguous United States.Company OverviewAt DIRECTV, we believe TV is meant to be enjoyed.
