Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Sr Manager, Business Development to join their Actuation Division. The role involves evaluating and managing new strategic business opportunities within the aerospace industry, leading proposal teams, conducting market analysis, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintains customer business relationships in domestic and/or international government marketsIdentify and develop opportunities for business expansion and prepares detailed business cases and recommendationsDevelop marketing strategies and provides input into long range business plansMaintain level of oversight to ensure compliance with industry regulations, regulatory agencies, export laws and technology transfer as they apply to proposal development and contract negotiationMay conduct research assessment and due diligence activitiesStructure, secure approval and execute negotiations strategies to capture contracts for new and existing productsSkillsHave a working knowledge of aerospace programs relating to actuation, position sensing and valves including working from initial program concept through development and on through productionGain access to senior program leads, and influencers on these programsHave a working network of contacts at major Tier 1 suppliers and engine OEMs dealing in aircraft developmentBe comfortable in discussing airborne applications with senior program team members, senior officers and corporate executivesStrong experience in selling highly engineered components to Tier 1 system integratorsGood understanding of market and technology trends affecting the aerospace industryBe self-motivated and comfortable working in a goal-oriented environmentStrong organizational skills, able to effectively deal with multiple meetings, tasks, and deadlinesHave strong communication skills, able to effectively communicate with customers and contacts of all backgrounds and educational levelsWell developed written and verbal communication skillsBe able to formulate capture plans and lead capture efforts of multimillion dollar pursuitsBe practiced in researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiativesPursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycleDeveloping concepts, ideas, quotes and proposals for prospective clientsAttending conferences and industry eventsTravel up to 50%US Citizen required, secret security clearance is a plusBenefitsPaid Time Off401K with Employer Match and Profit SharingHealth and Wellness BenefitsLearning and Development OpportunitiesReferral ProgramCompetitive PayRecognitionEmployee Stock Purchase PlanCompany OverviewCurtiss-Wright Corporation is a diversified, multinational provider of highly engineered, technologically advanced products and services.
