They are seeking an experienced Grants Management Consultant to support Higher Education implementations, focusing on designing, configuring, and deploying Workday Grants Management solutions for mission-driven organizations.ResponsibilitiesDesign and configure Workday Grants Management solutionsApply deep expertise in the Workday Grants Management product across customer engagementsPartner with customers to elicit, clarify, and document business requirementsConfigure Workday Grants Management to align with customer needs and operational realitiesDocument solution decisions clearly so customers can support and sustain their environment after go-liveSupport data conversion, integrations, and testingPartner with client and data conversion teams to support legacy grants/financial data conversion into WorkdayPartner with integration teams to support the configuration and testing of integrations between Workday and third-party or custom solutions, as applicableSupport customers through testing cycles, including issue triage and resolutionTransfer system knowledge to customer teams to support adoption, confidence, and long-term success in productionDrive project execution and stakeholder alignmentCommunicate regularly with the Engagement Manager on project status, hours forecasting, time reporting, risks, and mitigation plansHelp customers prepare for and navigate key implementation milestones, from design through testing and deploymentContribute to the practice and mentor othersMentor consultants who are newer to Grants ManagementParticipate in updating training and knowledge-sharing opportunities that strengthen team capabilityContribute to the Higher Education consulting practice by identifying opportunities for improvement and leading or participating in internal initiativesSkills4+ years of Grants or Financial consulting experience OR 4+ years of Grants operational experience in Higher Education institutionsExperience with Workday, Lawson, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or similar applicationsExperience with Grants Management solutions along with one or more of the following: Accounts Receivable, Projects, Endowments, Fund or Nonprofit Accounting6+ years of Grants or Financial consulting experience OR 6+ years of Grants operational experience in Higher Education institutions6+ years of experience in a consulting, software, or internal Workday environment with hands-on responsibility for payroll configuration, testing, and partnering with stakeholdersExperience with WorkdayExperience working with Higher Education and/or Nonprofit organizationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience - preferably in Finance or AccountingAt least 2 full-cycle software implementations in the Higher Education industryUnderstand the reporting and compliance requirement for government funded grantsWorking knowledge of research or clinical trial solutionsProven ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with payroll, HR, and/or finance stakeholders in Higher Education and/or Nonprofit environments, including navigating complex governance structures (e.g., committees, unions, shared governance)Ability to manage multiple customers in parallel, estimate effort accurately, surface risks early, and coordinate with Engagement Managers and project teams to keep scope, schedule, and quality on trackAbility to travel up to 50% based on client and project needs, particularly for key implementation milestones such as design sessions and major testing eventsBenefitsWorkday Bonus PlanRole-specific commission/bonusAnnual refresh stock grantsCompany OverviewWorkday provides SaaS-based enterprise solutions for a company's human resources and financial management activities.
