UMass Memorial Medical Center is a premier health system in Central Massachusetts, seeking a Senior EPIC Applications Analyst for their Home Health & Hospice division. The role involves collaborating with operational stakeholders to implement and support application software that meets clinical and business needs, while also leading projects and mentoring team members.ResponsibilitiesProactively identifies barriers to completing work and escalates issues with proposed solutionsAttends all required meetings, assume accountability for assigned follow-ups and practice closed loop communicationParticipates as workstream lead on cross-functional projects, ensure tasks are completed within scope and project management guidelinesRuns optimization requests, including scheduling meetings, identifying timelines, and allocating resourcesDevelops and maintains partnerships with operational staff, serving as a subject matter advisor for application-related questionsLeads discussions with subject matter experts, caregivers, and vendors to evaluate, design and configure application featuresAttends product demonstrations to assess system functionality against customer requirements and recommends appropriate software solutionsFacilitates application upgrade processes, including recommending new functionalities to operational caregiversTests new features and functionalities and develop Job Aids for customer support and trainingInvestigates application and system configuration issues to develop and implement effective system fixesParticipates in ticket triage and analysis to determine the appropriate work stream and assist in scoping effortsIndependently troubleshoots application components within server configurations, including system services and interface jobs, and engage other teams as necessaryEffectively participates in critical incident response and escalates appropriately as neededCollaborates with subject matter experts, caregivers, and vendors to evaluate and configure application featuresConfigure application features, security settings, and develop support documentation, including test scripts and workflow diagramsBuilds relationships with third-party vendors to maintain vendor softwareDevelop support documentation for application teams, including test scripts, workflow diagrams, and knowledge base articlesPartners with the training team to create end-user training materialsMentors less experienced team members, providing guidance and support for their developmentActively learns and applies new skills to improve support for customers and coworkersContinuously advances knowledge of current products, including obtaining application certifications and staying updated on system configurations and emerging technology and industry trendsActively participates in professional development programs defined by departmentDemonstrates high adaptability to dynamic responsibilities and evolving project requirementsComplies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectivesAttends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directedDemonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operationsComplies with all health and safety regulations and requirementsRespects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitorsMaintains, regular, reliable, and predictable attendancePerforms other similar and related duties as required or directedSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experienceEpic Application certification(s) or ability to achieve, as required by department3 years experience with enterprise platforms (EHRs/ITSM/ERPs)Team player with strong problem solving, time management and decision-making skills, ability to maintain a positive attitude, solution focusedAble to act independently with minimal oversightAble to serve as a mentor to less experienced team membersAble to lead meetings and effectively communicate with all users at all levels of the organizationHealthcare experienceExperience with Epic Home Health and Hospice (Dorothy and Comfort) a plusExperience with client/server applications, server administration, HL7 Interfaces, and other technical skills a plusExperience with electronic health records and radiation oncology a plusExperience with the Aria Radiation Oncology application a plusAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamBenefitsThis position may have a signing bonus available a member of the Recruitment Team will confirm eligibility during the interview process.Company OverviewUmass Memorial Medical Center is the clinical partner of UMass Medical School and the largest health care system in Central Massachusetts.
