The Sr. Director of Rental Operations is responsible for providing enterprise-wide leadership and strategic direction for rental operations across multiple facilities, ensuring safety, operational excellence, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership and direction across all rental operations, including multi-site and regional teamsLead, develop, and manage a multi-layered leadership team (operations, rental, customer service, continuous improvement)Oversee daily operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and adherence to regulatory and company standardsDrive operational excellence (safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer service performance)Own financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and capital planningEstablish and execute enterprise strategies (inventory optimization, fleet utilization, capacity planning)Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including standardization and process optimizationPartner cross-functionally and implement KPI/performance management systems to drive accountabilitySkillsTypically requires BS/BA in a related disciplineGenerally, 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacityProvide strategic leadership and direction across all rental operations, including multi-site and regional teamsLead, develop, and manage a multi-layered leadership team (operations, rental, customer service, continuous improvement)Oversee daily operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and adherence to regulatory and company standardsDrive operational excellence (safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer service performance)Own financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and capital planningEstablish and execute enterprise strategies (inventory optimization, fleet utilization, capacity planning)Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including standardization and process optimizationPartner cross-functionally and implement KPI/performance management systems to drive accountabilityMulti-site leadership experience in rental, manufacturing, or distribution operationsExperience managing large, multi-layered teams across geographically dispersed locationsProven success in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiativesExperience with P&L ownership and financial managementLean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certificationsStrong financial and business acumenAdvanced leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsExperience with KPI development and performance management systemsCompany OverviewWhite Cap is a distributor of specialist hardware equipment and supplies for large and medium sized contractors.
