[Remote] Sr. DevOps Engineer

The role involves improving deployment practices, managing AWS infrastructure, and ensuring cloud-based architectures meet availability and recoverability requirements.ResponsibilitiesDelivering excellence to our Software Engineering teams, empowering them to maximize development velocity while simultaneously enforcing best practices and security standardsOwnership, architecture, and management of AWS infrastructure components such as Lambda, ECS, etcBuilding with a mind for both security and complianceDeploying to AWS via GitHub-based source control and CI/CD pipeline designOwning the technical design, and implementation of the automation technologies required for deploying, maintaining and operating cloud infrastructureCreating the policies and procedures for properly supporting our rapidly growing microservice architectureEnsuring cloud-based architectures meet availability and recoverability requirementsImplementation of cloud-based monitoring and alertingFind scalability bottlenecks and areas for performance improvementsIdentify and execute on opportunities to help set the standard for excellence in cloud infrastructure design and automationActive monitoring of risks to site SLAs and overall deliverySkillsAWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer) requiredAt least three (3) years managing AWS infrastructureAt least five (5) years DevOps engineering experienceAt least three (3) years CDK or CloudFormationAt least three (3) years Github CI/CDA strong software engineering or programming background.
