The Senior Content Marketing Manager will develop and execute strategic content programs that drive brand awareness and audience engagement, collaborating with various teams to create high-quality content across multiple formats.ResponsibilitiesPartner with other content marketers on a comprehensive content strategy aligned to brand, demand, and go‑to‑market prioritiesDevelop and maintain a comprehensive content calendar across owned and partner channelsDefine content themes that support business goalsTranslate audience insights and market trends into compelling, differentiated content ideasAlign content plans with product launches, campaigns, and seasonal initiativesCreate and oversee high‑quality content across formats, including blogs, articles, ebooks, white papers, case studies, video, and sales enablement materialsPartner with internal teams and external writers, agencies, and subject‑matter experts to develop audience-specific contentEnsure content is on‑brand, audience‑focused, and optimized for clarity and impactEdit and elevate content to meet quality, voice, and storytelling standardsCollaborate with Demand and Growth teams to support acquisition, nurture, and conversion effortsDevelop content mapped to buyer journeys, personas, and stages of the funnelSupport account‑based marketing, lifecycle campaigns, and customer engagement programsEnable Sales and Customer teams with relevant, compelling content that supports pipeline and retentionLook for opportunities to repackage content in new ways and apply a combination of skills, tools and partners to develop, amplify and distribute contentPartner with Digital Marketing and SEO teams to optimize content for discovery and performanceUse data and insights to evaluate content effectiveness and continuously improve resultsTrack and report on key content metrics such as engagement, conversion, and influence on pipelineTest new formats, channels, and storytelling approaches to increase impactServe as a content thought partner to Product Marketing, Brand, Sales, and Leadership teamsLead content distribution workflowsProvide guidance and feedback to other marketers or contributorsEnsure alignment between content, brand voice, and messaging across the organizationChampion content as a strategic growth lever across marketing and the businessSkillsBachelor's degree required, degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field preferredMinimum of 7 years of experience in content marketing, editorial, publishing or storytelling rolesAbility to develop and execute content strategies that drive measurable resultsSophisticated writing and editing skills and the ability to adapt tone across formats and audiencesStrong understanding of digital content, SEO fundamentals, and content distributionExperience partnering cross‑functionally in fast‑paced, matrixed environmentsExperience using Adobe or Canva for basic designAbility to direct video editing and do simple video editing tasksExperience in B2B, SaaS, EdTech, or complex buying environmentsFamiliarity with content performance analytics and marketing automation platformsExperience supporting demand generation or product marketing initiativesBenefitsAt Cengage Group, we take great pride in our commitment to providing a comprehensive and rewarding Total Rewards package designed to support and empower our employees.In this position, you will be eligible to participate in the company’s discretionary incentive bonus program.This position's bonus target amount, which is not guaranteed and is dependent on individual performance and overall company results among other factors, is provided below.10% Annual: Individual TargetCompany OverviewCengage, a global edtech company, supports learners, educators and institutions across more than 100 countries.
