They are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their Surplus & Specialty Lines Digital Services team, where the role involves supporting various business units by gathering and analyzing data to enhance business processes and system requirements.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in meetings with business stakeholders to identify business, financial, and operations goals/objectives and priorities, system requirements, and identify existing issuesParticipate in roadmap planning activities, as requiredCollaborate with business and IT (Information Technology) Stakeholders in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applicationsFacilitate or lead design sessions to prototype new systems to enhance business processes, operations, and information process flowReviews the effectiveness and efficiency of the user experience for existing systems and develops strategies for improving or further leveraging these systemsEstablish and manage scope and parameters of systems analysis to define predictable outcomes and action plansParticipate in research of third-party software products to support purchase or build decisionsConduct analysis to make recommendations or suggest alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems and processes across the organizationCollaborate with project team to establish and manage the project timeline, delivery milestones, and communication plan for reporting project statusProvide systems models, requirement specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to development and quality assurance teams, as requiredTrack and manage issues based on the findings, complete with probable causes and viable solutionsCollaborate with Digital Service teams to ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systemsCoordinate testing of application systems, including quality assurance, performance, and end-user acceptance, reviews for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation supportProvide documentation, training materials, orientation, and training to end users for all modified and new systems, as neededSkillsBachelor's degree and a minimum of 5-8+ years specialized experience working in a IT Business Analyst or similar capacityP&C Insurance experience requiredExtensive experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software solutions, systems, or products in support of underwriting, financial or claims application systemsDemonstrated project management skillsExcellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectivesExcellent analytical and creative problem-solving skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent listening and interpersonal skillsLogical and efficient with keen attention to detailAbility to conduct research into systems issues and products as requiredAbility to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly languageHighly self-motivated and directedAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentStrong customer service orientationExtensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentExperience with Non-Admitted insurance lines strongly preferredBenefitsCompetitive compensation packageGenerous 401K employer matchEmployee Stock Purchase plan with employer matchingGenerous Paid Time OffExcellent benefits that go beyond health, dental & vision.
