This role focuses on designing, developing, and delivering learning solutions that empower stakeholders to achieve meaningful business results while enhancing sales performance.ResponsibilitiesLeads the design, development and delivery of learning projects and programs aligned with divisional and enterprise goalsApplies adult learning theory and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE) to create engaging content using appropriate modalities (eLearning, ILT, etc.), methods, and methodologiesDevelops and delivers learning solutions that support sales strategies, integrating competitive intelligence, marketing, and adult learning concepts, including but not limited to webinars, digital content, micro-learning, and job aids, and thought documentsSupports employee benefits sales training delivery for sales representatives, sales support specialists, and account managers across a spectrum of areas including new hire onboarding, sales process, product, and operational readinessSupports external partnerships through the development and delivery of learning contentOwn the end-to-end instructional design process for functional and crossfunctional projects/workstreamsâfrom needs analysis to evaluationPartners with key stakeholders to identify training needs and develop learning solutions that meet project, functional and/or strategic goals and objectivesCollaborates with Distribution Operations partners and and Sales Leaders to proactively identify training needs and opportunities appropriate to varied experience levelsSupports project work, strategic projects and partnerships under the direction of Lead Trainers and/or Director of Sales TrainingUtilizes content delivery systems to ensure timely, consistent, and measurable execution of trainingSkillsHighly organized with a strong attention to detailStrong planning and execution skillsetAbility to learn and leverage learning technologiesStays current on latest and emerging trends and technologiesUnderstands internal systems used by sales teamsIntimate understanding of insurance and employee benefit products and sales processesAbility to manage multiple projects with overlapping timelinesProficient in collaborative work, with the ability to work independently to achieve outcomesUndergraduate Degree (preferably in a related field such as business administration, human resources, and organization development)5+ years' experience in the instructional design and delivery, preferably in financial services and/or insurance industryExperience with elearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Captivate)Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to deliver to audiences of varying experience and senioritySkilled communicator possessing strong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent planning, organizing, coordinating, and time management skills, with strong attention to detailSkilled with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience adapting presentations 'in real-time' as audience needs dictateMaster's degree preferredIndustry certifications (e.g., CPTD/APTD) desirableCRM and illustration experience is preferredExperience with learning management systems and technologies is preferredBenefitsComprehensive health, dental and vision insuranceMental health benefits and an employee assistance programPaid time offPaid parental leaveShort-term disabilityA cultural observance dayContributions to healthcare accountsA pension planA 401(k) plan with Company matchingProHealth Rewards, Protectiveâs platform to improve wellbeing while earning cash rewardsAdditional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performanceCompany OverviewProtective is a holding company, whose subsidiaries provide financial services It was founded in 1907, and is headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, with a workforce of 1001-5000 employees.
