[Remote] Sr. AI Platform Engineer (AWS Bedrock, Serverless, Agentic AI)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ICONMA is an IT Services and Consulting company seeking a Sr. AI Platform Engineer specializing in AWS Bedrock, Serverless, and Agentic AI. The role involves building AI-native platform capabilities on AWS, designing event-driven services, and collaborating with internal engineers on architecture and design reviews.

Responsibilities
• Agentic coding tools. Production use of Claude Code, OpenCode, Cursor, or equivalent. Comfortable with MCP servers, context strategy, and prompt/workflow design
• Has opinions on when to use an agent and when not to
• AWS serverless, advanced. Deep production experience with Lambda, DynamoDB (single-table design, GSI strategy, streams), SNS/SQS/EventBridge (fan-out, DLQs, idempotency), API Gateway, Step Functions, S3, CloudWatch. Builds event-driven, on-demand systems that idle cheaply and burst on traffic. IaC with CDK (preferred) or Terraform. Bedrock + GenAI on AWS. Has shipped production RAG, agents, or workflows on Bedrock — Knowledge Bases, Agents, Guardrails. Understands model routing, prompt caching, and inference cost tuning. OpenSearch for vector/hybrid retrieval a plus
• Distributed systems. Senior grasp of eventual consistency, idempotency, retries/backoff, choreography vs. orchestration, observability, and blast radius containment. Reads a diagram and spots the failure points; writes diagrams others can build from
• Build AI-native platform capabilities on AWS
• Design event-driven services for bursty, variable workloads
• Pair with internal engineers on architecture and design reviews
• Shape day-to-day team practices around agentic coding tools
• Produce reusable patterns and components other teams adopt

Skills
• 5-8 years of experience required
