The Senior AI Engineer will build and scale production AI services, develop autonomous AI agents, and contribute to shared AI platforms, ensuring high-quality and efficient AI features across the company's software products.ResponsibilitiesBuild and scale production LLM-powered services, including context engineering, prompt design, and agentic workflowsDevelop and operate autonomous AI agents, owning the full lifecycle from prototype to ongoing maintenanceDesign and execute evaluations for AI/ML systems to drive architectural decisions and share findings cross-functionallyContribute to shared AI platforms and internal tooling that enable other teams to deploy and monitor AI featuresWrite production-grade Python code designed for long-term extensibility and team ownershipServe as a technical consultant to product and UX teams on AI feasibility, tradeoffs, and architectureMonitor and optimize AI/ML services for latency, cost-efficiency, and high-volume throughputTroubleshoot production system health and identify solutions to reduce technical debt and performance degradationDesign AI capabilities with strict adherence to data privacy and compliance standards for financial dataStay current on emerging AI/ML techniques to raise the collective engineering standard of the teamSkills3+ years of professional software or AI/ML engineering experience with a focus on production LLM servicesProven track record of developing, running, and evaluating autonomous agents in a production environmentStrong Python proficiency with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and reliable codeSolid understanding of agent architectures and the ability to resolve system failures under time pressureKnowledge of performance optimization, including latency, throughput, and cost management for AI servicesFamiliarity with data privacy and compliance considerations for systems handling sensitive financial dataExperience with various LLM models (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source) and modern AI development toolsAbility to communicate complex technical concepts and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical partnersMinimum of a four-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experienceFull end-to-end AI/ML lifecycle experience including ideation, deployment, and maintenance at scalePractical experience with the AWS AI/ML stack and document processing using LLMsExperience mentoring other engineers and familiarity with uv for Python project managementBenefitsAnnual employee development program stipend of $2,000 for each employeeMentorship program (available immediately)Sabbatical program (4 weeks after 5 years of service)Advancement opportunities based on results, not politics401(k) plan with employer matchingSigning stipend for a work-from-home setupGreat health benefits with multiple plan optionFlexible PTO (including 11 holidays and your birthday off)Free gym membership at our office (Atlanta HQ)Casual dress environment (when in office)Catered lunches every Tuesday & Thursday (when in office)Parental Leave BenefitsFertility/Adoption AssistanceAnnual tutoring stipend for your childrenCompany Overviewπ Hey there, we're FinQuery!
