[Remote] Sr AI Cloud Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Oxenham Group is seeking a mission-driven AI Cloud Engineer to join their cloud engineering practice. The role involves owning the full lifecycle of AI-enabled cloud solutions, serving federal and public sector clients while ensuring security, compliance, and performance standards are met.ResponsibilitiesArchitect and deploy secure, scalable AI solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, and EKSLead end-to-end cloud migrations — including re-architecture, refactoring, and containerization of legacy systemsBuild and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation; engineer CI/CD pipelines for AI model and infrastructure deploymentImplement MLOps practices including model versioning, monitoring, and retraining workflowsUse AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Kiro) to accelerate delivery and improve solution qualityConduct architecture and security reviews; identify gaps and drive remediationEnsure solutions meet federal compliance standards including FedRAMP and NIST frameworksAdvise technical and executive stakeholders on AI strategy, roadmap prioritization, and cloud optimizationCollaborate across cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and program teams to maintain secure, compliant environmentsProduce architecture documentation and present findings and recommendations to leadershipSkillsBachelor's degree in a related field plus AWS Professional certification(s) and AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty8+ years in cloud and AI technologies, with at least 4 years focused on AWS AI services — or 10 years of equivalent hands-on experienceUS Citizenship requiredProven track record architecting AI solutions in compliance-driven, secure environmentsDeep familiarity with AWS AI/ML services, cloud-native architecture patterns, and DevSecOps practicesExperience modernizing legacy systems and driving cloud transformation initiativesSolid understanding of federal security and governance frameworksStrong communicator comfortable presenting to both technical teams and executive leadershipAble to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously and work Eastern Time Zone hoursActive security clearance or Public Trust (DOJ preferred)Experience with generative AI and large language model deploymentBackground in DevSecOps within regulated government programsFamiliarity with Zero Trust architecture in cloud environmentsExperience integrating AI into enterprise ERP, data lakes, or mission-critical systemsHistory advising senior leadership on AI adoption and digital transformation strategyBenefitsPosition_type: W-2 ContractWork_model: [remote]Company OverviewOxenham Group offers specialized recruiting services, focusing on Life Science and IT industries.
