[Remote] Sr Advanced Project Engineer - Supplier Development

The role involves developing strategic partnerships with suppliers, managing performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to ensure operational excellence and product quality.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate the capabilities of PWB & electronic component suppliers and support the transition of hardware from development to productionConduct supplier risk assessments and implement targeted quality improvement plans specific to PWB & electronic component manufacturing processesLead and participate in capacity assessment exercises, driving supplier performance by establishing clear metrics and performance expectations related to PWB & electronic componentsPartner with Suppliers to Lead and support OPEX projects enabling improvements in product flow / throughput, lead time reduction, & yieldEnsure that electronic component suppliers comply with quality management systems, industry standards, and regulatory requirementsCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, New Product Introduction, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to resolve supplier-related issues and improve overall supply chain performanceTravel domestically 25-50% and rare internationalSkillsBachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematicsA minimum of 15 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering and / or supplier development with a focus on Printed Wiring Boards and / or other electrical component production / design / engineering / NPIProficiency in quality management and problem-solving tools, including Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and/or Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP/PPAP)Knowledge of aerospace standards and practices related to electronics components / PWB manufacturingMust be a US Citizen due to contractual requirementsAerospace, Electrical or Electronics Engineering DegreeIn-depth knowledge of supplier development strategies, supplier relationship management, and quality controlAbility to work effectively across borders and engage with diverse teamsExperience with project management and Kaizen facilitationFamiliarity with Total Preventative Maintenance, asset management for downtime reduction, critical spare parts, and CAPEX proposalsProficiency in budget management and financial acumen6+ years of leadership and team management experienceExcellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teamsGreen or Black Belt Certification(s) in Lean / Six SigmaBenefitsEmployer subsidized Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability401(k) matchFlexible Spending AccountsHealth Savings AccountsEAPEducational AssistanceParental LeavePaid Time Off (for vacation, personal business, sick time, and parental leave)12 Paid HolidaysCompany OverviewHoneywell International Inc.
