The Senior Accountant will support month-end close, general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and accounting operations across multiple business entities.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post general ledger journal entries, including:DepreciationPrepaid expensesAccrualsLarge payroll entriesERP-generated importsPerform account reconciliations and research and resolve reconciling itemsManage lease accounting entries and fixed asset reconciliationsSupport accounting activities across multiple legal entitiesWork within and across various ERP systems and assist with system-related accounting processesParticipate in month-end close activities and support continuous process improvementsCollaborate with accounting leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reportingSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on accounting experience will also be considered4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a Senior Accountant or similar roleStrong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close processesExperience working in multiple ERP systems; experience with one or more ERP platforms is requiredAbility to work independently and manage competing priorities with minimal supervisionStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesMust have SHARED SERVICE ENVIRONMENT ExperiencePublic accounting experiencePercentage of Completion (POC) accounting experienceWork-in-Process (WIP) reporting experienceExperience working in multi-entity and acquisition-driven environmentsExposure to distribution, manufacturing, or project-based accounting environmentsBenefitsDiscretionary bonusesParticipation in medical, dental, and vision benefitsThe company's retirement plan (or similar retirement benefits)Company OverviewVaco is the Talent Solutions division of Highspring, a leading global professional services organization.
