REMOTE SQL DBA (W2 Only)
Our client is searching for a SQL DBA for long-term contract position that can be worked remotely. • **All candidates must work directly for TEKsystems on a W2 basis*** This position may require some off hours work, but will rarely work over 40 hours per week. Some flexibility on the pay may be available. Preferred background: • Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience • Migrations from SQL Servers and databases from 14, 16, 19 and 2022 versions • Troubleshooting database crashes and application slowness, rebuilding databases following an incident, and managing resource utilization • Experience with using indexes to increase database query performance • Experience consulting with users, programmers, and application vendors to identify needs, system capability, and determining requirements for database formats and application specifications • Experience working with MS SQL Servers in a VMware virtual server environment including the use of server snapshots • Experience creating and restoring SQL backups through Microsoft SQL Management Studio and CommVault backups • Experience with migrating SSIS and SSRS packages to 2019 • MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications desirable • Experience with installing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading MySQL instances All candidates must submit to a background check. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
