Remote Sports Performance Analyst - Elite Athlete Development

This fully remote position offers the exciting opportunity to work with elite athletes and sports teams across the globe, providing data-driven insights to optimize training and competition strategies. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting various forms of athlete data, including biomechanical, physiological, and performance metrics. Your insights will directly contribute to athlete development, injury prevention, and overall team success. This role requires a deep understanding of sports science, advanced statistical analysis, and proficiency with specialized performance analysis software. Key Responsibilities:
Collect, clean, and organize athlete performance data from various sources (e.g., GPS tracking, video analysis, physiological sensors, testing protocols). Conduct in-depth statistical analysis of performance data to identify trends, patterns, and key indicators of success or areas for improvement. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that effectively visualize athlete and team performance metrics. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to coaches, trainers, and athletes to optimize training programs, tactical decisions, and recovery strategies. Utilize specialized software for biomechanical analysis, motion capture data, and video analysis to evaluate technique and movement efficiency. Collaborate with coaching staff to understand their specific needs and tailor data analysis accordingly. Contribute to the development and implementation of athlete monitoring systems to track progress and identify potential overtraining or injury risks. Stay current with the latest research, technologies, and methodologies in sports science, performance analysis, and data analytics. Assist in the design and execution of performance testing protocols. Communicate complex findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ensure data integrity and security at all times. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Proven experience (3+ years) in sports performance analysis, preferably with elite athletes or teams. Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS). Experience with sports performance analysis software (e.g., Catapult, STATSports, Dartfish, Kinovea). Excellent understanding of physiological and biomechanical principles related to athletic performance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting. Passion for sports and a genuine desire to contribute to athlete success.
