Remote Sports Event Planner

Our client is actively recruiting a creative and highly organized Remote Sports Event Planner to conceptualize, coordinate, and execute a variety of sports-related events. This is a fully remote role, requiring a proactive individual capable of managing all aspects of event planning from a distance. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless execution of events, from initial planning stages through to post-event analysis, working collaboratively with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include developing event concepts and themes, creating detailed event timelines and budgets, sourcing and negotiating with venues and suppliers, coordinating logistics such as transportation, accommodation, and catering, managing event promotion and marketing efforts, overseeing on-site event execution (potentially with local coordinators), handling crisis management and troubleshooting, and conducting post-event evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency in event management software and online collaboration tools is essential. A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field is required. A minimum of 4 years of experience in event planning, with a specific focus on sports events, is mandatory. Demonstrated success in managing budgets, vendor relationships, and complex logistics is crucial. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances are highly valued.
