[Remote] Specialty Program Manager- Cannabis Workers' Compensation

Method Insurance is a Program Administrator focused on Workers' Compensation, dedicated to delivering the right coverage to protect businesses and employees. The Specialty Program Manager will strengthen Method’s market presence in the staffing space by cultivating agency relationships and driving premium growth.ResponsibilitiesProspect and initiate conversations with staffing-focused retail agencies and sub-agents nationwideDevelop strong distribution relationships with staffing agencies identified by current and future carrier partnersGuide sub-agents through the staffing underwriting process, ensuring complete, accurate, and timely submissionsImprove quote-to-submit ratios and bind rates by delivering high-quality applications to current and future carrier partnersActively manage large account opportunities and track submissions throughout the lifecycleCultivate positive, growth-oriented relationships with carrier partnersMaintain a strong understanding of market trends and competitor positioningCollaborate closely with internal sales teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of underwriting appetite and effectively communicate any changesMeet or exceed staffing premium growth goalProduce reports on pipeline activity, submission quality, and carrier performanceCollaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and remove submission and servicing barriersRepresent Method as a staffing industry specialist, attending trade shows, conferences, and agency visits as neededPerform other duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in business or related field preferred5+ years of experience in staffing industry insurance, program management, or wholesale distributionWorkers' compensation or insurance experience is requiredEstablished relationships within the staffing insurance market (retail agencies, carriers, sub-agents)At least 1 year of business experience, either in insurance sales or insurance servicesProven track record of meeting or exceeding premium production goalsStrong understanding of staffing underwriting requirements and program nuancesStrong sales presentation and persuasion skillsMust be comfortable with negotiating and leveraging a sales approachStrong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present effectively to agents and carriersProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite, or similar systemsComprehension of a task-based workflow system to manage prospective and current customers and accountsPossess a high sense of urgency and self-confidenceStrong work ethic and positive attitudePassionate, energetic, self-motivated individual who thrives and can achieve sales goalsPerseveres in a growing, changing, and dynamic work environmentCompetitive while working as part of a teamAbility to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple prioritiesAbility to travel up to 50% of the time (Travel to association and trade shows, agency visits with other insurance services employees and/or individually, and business meetings potentially with agents and/or insureds)BenefitsCompetitive compensation401(k) plus matchingHealth benefits (including HSA Contribution)Paid disabilityPaid parental leaveProfessional development opportunitiesHybrid/remote work environmentCompany OverviewMethod Workers’ Compensation is a portfolio of workers’ comp companies with the same mission: minimizing the human and financial cost of workplace injuries.
