[Remote] Specialist, Procurement

The Indirect Procurement Specialist will manage the procurement of indirect goods and services, involving sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management to ensure optimal value for the organization.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect categories such as IT, operations, capital, professional services, facilities management, marketing, and HR services with a focus on capital equipment and construction
ā¢ Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess market trends that may impact supply and pricing
ā¢ Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including document preparation, bid analysis, and supplier selection
ā¢ Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and service level agreements
ā¢ Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, conducting regular business reviews to ensure performance metrics are met
ā¢ Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure alignment with the organization's procurement strategy
ā¢ Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues related to delivery, quality, or compliance
ā¢ Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the procurement process to increase efficiency and effectiveness
ā¢ Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
ā¢ Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and prepare reports for management review
ā¢ Support team members sharing knowledge and best practices
Skills
ā¢ Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years or master's degree with a minimum of 2 years related experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management; in lieu of a degree, 8 years of related experience
ā¢ A degree or master's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
ā¢ Strong understanding of procurement principles, contract law, and supplier management
ā¢ Excellent negotiation and analytical skills, with a track record of achieving cost savings and service improvements
ā¢ Proficient with procurement software systems and tools, as well as Microsoft Office applications
ā¢ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
ā¢ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines
