The role involves preparing financial statements for clients, managing communications with various stakeholders, and participating in professional development to improve processes within the team.ResponsibilitiesIn the alternatives financial reporting specialist function, you will be responsible for the execution of applicable quality controls and preparation of the annual, quarterly and other financial statements, as required, for our clientsYou will assist in managing communications with fund accounting teams, internal technology teams, vendors, clients and, as necessary, external auditors in order to (i) support the orderly completion and approval of financial statements and (ii) resolve financial reporting, systems and other relevant issuesWe want you to succeed and look for future solutions! You will have the opportunity to partner with a diverse team and grow your careerSkillsBA / BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or 4+ equivalent work experience2 years of experience in mutual fund or alternative investment funds industry preferredExperience with financial statement preparation preferredStrong accounting skills are preferredIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordThe self-motivation and drive to handle multiple client deliverables without sacrificing accuracy, timeliness or qualityWillingness to execute upon process changesStrong written and verbal communication skills as you will primarily communicate with your clients and other contacts through email and/or phone callsExcellent organization skillsStrong customer service skills as you will be communicating daily with internal and external clientsAbility and willingness to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
