The Specialist, Content Producer role involves collaborating with a team to develop and manage exam content, ensuring accuracy and quality for certification exams.ResponsibilitiesUse proprietary item/exam development and banking software to maintain and manage test content (items) and associated elements throughout the development lifecycle, maintaining accuracy, quality, validity, style guide adherence, and Pearson VUE standardsUnderstand intellectual property confidentiality and security considerations and abide by defined business practices to provide appropriate protectionPartner with clients and cross-functional teams on multiple exam programs and deliverables, monitoring scope and deadlines, and escalating risks as neededUnderstand intellectual property confidentiality and security considerations and abide by defined business practices to provide appropriate protectionAdhere to project schedules and manage multiple project deliverablesAssist in startup process for new clientsRecommend item and exam development activities and contribute to schedule planningEvaluate exam programs using statistical data and other criteria to evaluate items and item bank healthPrepare workshop materials, including training activitiesDefine and implement item banking tool workflow requirements for client workshopsFacilitate virtual and in-person activities and workshops where SMEs write and review examination items, as well as select items for examsTrain SMEs about item writing best practices and how to use item development softwareUse proprietary item/exam development and banking software to maintain, manage, and audit user accountsPerform various database maintenance, data entry, and referencing tasks in proprietary item banking softwareAssemble computer-based exams within proprietary item development software and perform QCAdhere to established QC processes and guidelines, ensuring accuracy of test content components and item set selection per specs, SME input, psychometric input, and scoring parametersCoordinate item/exam translation assignments, working with clients and their approved vendorsCollaborate effectively with members of testing services teams and other cross-functional Pearson teams, providing timely and complete input on reports, documentation, projects, teams, meetings, and process improvementsSkillsBachelor's degree requiredAbility to learn a variety of technical systems and applicationsInitiative and the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to shifting prioritiesProficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, Sharepoint, OneDrive)Troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesPossess a continuous learning orientation and the ability to train othersStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationshipsAbility to collaborate as part of a teamDemonstrated ability to thrive in a demanding, goal-oriented environmentAbility to work independently and remotelyFlexibility related to workflow and changing prioritiesDemonstrate integrity and the ability to maintain data confidentiality and securityMaster's degree preferred2+ years of professional office work experience preferredExperience as content or test developer, related coursework, or other direct applicable experience preferredBenefitsThis position is not bonus eligible, and information on benefits offered is here.Company OverviewPearson operates as a media and education company that offers a wide range of services to its customers.
