The Specialist, Clinical Supply Chain will support clinical supply chain activities, ensuring timely and compliant movement of clinical materials and coordinating with various stakeholders for shipment execution and logistics management.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary Clinical Supply Chain point of contact for Clinical Operations and Allogene’s 3PL providers for shipment-related questions, issue escalation, and delivery coordinationManage end-to-end clinical shipment activities from order intake through scheduling, execution, tracking, and confirmation of successful delivery to clinical sitesCoordinate deliveries from depots to clinical sites to ensure on-time and in-full delivery of clinical materialsMonitor critical shipments across each leg of transport and proactively resolve shipment-related issues with couriers, customs brokers, depots, and internal stakeholdersEnsure all required shipment documentation, forms, and study-specific records are complete, accurate, available to the appropriate parties, and filed appropriatelySupport development and maintenance of Clinical Supply Chain metrics improve visibility and performanceSupport packaging plan development and packaging execution for finished goods including transactional steps, and ERP-related activities associated with material release and readinessPartner with Clinical Operations and Transportation & Logistics to maintain effective shipment communication processes for Allogene’s ongoing studiesSupport investigation and triage of shipment deviations, temperature excursions, delayed deliveries, and product complaints in partnership with Quality Assurance and other cross-functional teamsIdentify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to shipment execution, packaging workflows, documentation, and logistics processesPerform other duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, supply chain, business administration, or related field required3+ years of relevant experience in clinical supply chain, logistics, distribution, or planning within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industryUnderstanding of clinical supply chain operations, finished goods distribution, packaging and labeling workflows, and study-level shipment executionWorking knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and familiarity with inventory, order, and shipment-related transactions and documentationExperience working effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, including Clinical Operations, Quality, Supply Planning, and external service providersStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipment requests, prioritize effectively, and deliver results within established timelinesExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across internal stakeholders and external partnersDemonstrated continuous improvement mindset and interest in developing scalable processes, shipment metrics, and operational toolsSelf-motivated and comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership in a fast-paced environmentCandidates must be authorized to work in the U.SCertification in logistics, planning, or APICS/CPIM preferredCell & Gene Therapy experience is a plusExperience coordinating domestic and international clinical shipments, including cold chain logistics and shipment tracking across multiple partnersBenefitsAnnual performance bonusEquityHealth insuranceGenerous time off (including 2 annual holiday company-wide shutdowns)Company OverviewAllogene Therapeutics is a biotechnology company catalyzing cancer treatment through the development of CAR T therapy.
