As a Remote Sous Chef, you will be responsible for developing recipes, creating engaging culinary content, and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation for our digital audience. You will collaborate with the head chef and content team to produce high-quality recipes, instructional videos, and written guides. This role demands culinary expertise, creativity, and the ability to translate complex culinary techniques into accessible content for a wide range of home cooks. Your home kitchen will serve as your primary workspace. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and refine original recipes for various culinary platforms, including websites, apps, and video content. Create detailed recipe instructions, ingredient lists, and cooking methods that are clear and easy to follow. Cook and plate dishes for high-quality food photography and videography, ensuring aesthetic appeal and adherence to standards. Collaborate with the content team to brainstorm new culinary ideas and trends. Ensure all recipes meet specified dietary requirements or preferences when requested. Maintain a high standard of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices in your home kitchen. Research and stay updated on global culinary trends, ingredients, and techniques. Provide feedback on recipe development processes and contribute to quality improvement. Assist in the planning and execution of culinary content calendars. Manage ingredient sourcing and procurement for recipe testing and content creation. Qualifications: Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience in a reputable kitchen. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar senior culinary role. Proven ability to create and develop unique, well-balanced recipes. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques. Strong understanding of food science, flavor profiles, and ingredient pairings. Exceptional attention to detail in recipe writing and presentation. Experience with food photography or videography is a significant plus. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting. Well-equipped home kitchen with reliable appliances and tools. Strong organizational and communication skills.
