[Remote] Solidworks/NX Designer-Remote
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. PEAK Technical Staffing USA is seeking a Solidworks/NX Designer to work remotely for Fermilab's Quality & Materials Department. The role involves preparing mechanical designs and drawings, coordinating with engineering staff, and ensuring compliance with design standards and project schedules.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Prepare mechanical designs and drawings utilizing Solidworks, NX1980, and Teamcenter
ā¢ Correctly applying the ASME Y14.5-M-1994 (or higher) GD&T standard
ā¢ Support projects within Client-TD DUNE
ā¢ Work to meet project schedules and other requirements
ā¢ Research and analyze design solutions
ā¢ Coordinate design development
ā¢ Specify and select design components and materials
ā¢ Perform design tolerance and stack up calculations
ā¢ Create layout designs
ā¢ Develop advanced level 3D models and 2D drawings
ā¢ Manage 3D models and 2D drawings in Windchill, NX and Team Center
ā¢ Ensure work is performed in accordance with the Fermilab QAM and Client-TD and Design/Drafting Procedures
ā¢ Have all work reviewed, checked, and approved by Fermilab staff responsible for the specific task
Skills
ā¢ Demonstrate acceptable proficiency in Solidworks/NX via an interview through the ZOOM meeting portal.
ā¢ A minimum of a 5 years of experience as Designer.
ā¢ Ability to deliver a quality work product to deadline-driven project.
ā¢ Knowledge of NX 1980 and Teamcenter is beneficial.
