Sletten Construction Company is seeking a Solar Project Manager responsible for guiding solar energy projects through their entire lifecycle. The role involves coordinating between engineers, installers, clients, and vendors to ensure project cohesion, managing timelines, budgets, and adhering to quality and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate/participate with the Project Director and Operations Department in the actual buyout of the project, including negotiating and issuing subcontracts and purchase ordersOversee the pay request process, job cost report and total cost projection reportsReview and approve material orders and installation work plansDevelop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, subcontractors and owners to represent EPC’s core valuesWork on concurrent projects and meet deadlinesInput detailed bid analysis into project budgets. Prepare and manage project budgetsNegotiate subcontractor agreements and material purchases. Have knowledge of standard contracting practices and the ability to understand, write and negotiate standard contract languagePrepare, monitor and report monthly budget variances and forecast ultimate costs of the project(s) at all timesEnsure subcontractor adherence to contract specifications. Develop, communicate and implement subcontractor performance expectationsInitiate, prepare, process and review Requests for Information as required by the projectPrepare, process and pursue customer change order requestsInterface with Public/Private Utility Companies for the design, contract and execution of projectsInterface with municipal officials regarding plan submittals, plan checks, processing and the acquisition of all required permits for the projectHold weekly construction meetings with clients by phone or in personManage the approval of material submittals for the project. Assemble, collate and process material submissions to project consultants as well as internal departments within Company. Follow submittal protocol. Maintain project documentation throughout the course of the project. Prepare project completion materials for Company and customersEnsure safety procedures and safety meetings occur and are documentedOversee project commissioning and final reportingSkills5+ years' experience with solar/energy related projects or bachelor's degree in construction management or engineeringValid driver's license and insurable driving recordExperienced dealing with owner contracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform workExperience leading successful project team, including development of employees and maintaining relationships with clientsStrong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to find creative solutions to complex challengesOSHA 30 certificateCompany OverviewSletten Construction Company is a construction company that offers industrial, institutional, and federal construction services.
