[Remote] Software Tester
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ECS is a leading mid-sized provider of technology services to the United States Federal Government. They are seeking a Software Tester to support the Department of Veterans Affairs in modernizing Eligibility and Enrollment, focusing on enhancing the experience for Veterans and their families.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Conduct quality assurance activities throughout the software development lifecycle, including reviewing and approving deliverables
ā¢ Design and execute test plans, create test cases, and perform various types of testing (functional, performance, regression) to identify and resolve defects
ā¢ Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that quality requirements are met and to advocate for best practices in quality assurance
ā¢ Identify, document, and prioritize software defects, collaborating with development teams to communicate issues and suggest solutions
ā¢ Support continuous improvement initiatives in testing methodologies and processes to enhance overall software quality
Skills
ā¢ Bachelor's degree required
ā¢ 5+ years experience
ā¢ Proficiency in establishing and maintaining quality control processes
ā¢ Demonstrated experience in maintaining quality levels throughout the software lifecycle
ā¢ Strong ability to manage several complex tasks in a timely, effective manner
ā¢ Demonstrated ability to be proactive, think independently, and work collaboratively with a multi-functional team
ā¢ Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative, results-driven environment
ā¢ Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
ā¢ Experience working with VA or other Federal agencies
ā¢ Experience in Federal Healthcare consulting
ā¢ Experience with test automation frameworks
ā¢ Knowledge of Federal IT standards, including FISMA, FedAMP, and Section 508 compliance
ā¢ Experience using Jira for development lifecycle management
