[Remote] Software Project Manager

The role involves managing project scope, budget, timelines, and stakeholder relationships while ensuring quality execution per the contract's Scope of Work.ResponsibilitiesProject Planning and CoordinationTimeline and Resource ManagementBudget and Cost ManagementStakeholder ManagementRisk ManagementPlan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects, GIS and ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) projects with Electrical UtilitiesManage project scope, budget, timelines throughout the project lifecycleLead and guide the work of technical staff. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projectsPlan project stages and assess business implications for each stage, monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met, and maintain the partner relationship between Schneider Electric and the clientResponsible for the delivery of complex, multi-phase Digital Grid projects (typically between $5m and $10m)Maintains a high-level knowledge of business processes, challenges, disruptions in the electric distribution industry, as well as the drivers and concerns around the deployment of Operations Technologies including DMS, SCADA, OMS, EMS. Maintains a general knowledge of other systems that make up electrical utility systems such as Arc FM, Esri GIS, MDM, CIS, Work Management, etcManages project execution through all stages of the SE Customer Project Process (Initiate and Setup, Design, Install and Commission and Closure)Builds and manages a cost and invoicing plan, including subcontractor invoices, which ensures positive cash flow and a high probability of achieving project finance KPI targetsMonitor project costs and track financial performance against budgetary targetsEngages Schneider Electric Contract Management through all stages of the project for advice on protecting program/project margin while identifying and exploiting opportunities to increase marginDocument and address stakeholder concerns / inquiries and proactively manage expectations throughout the projectIdentify and resolve conflicts between project team, end client, external vendors and partnersDocument project risks and apply mitigating procedures when requiredMaintains a log of project travel expenses and receipts per Digital Grid PMO processesReports to Digital Grid executive leadership on the status and health of the project, its risks, opportunities, as well as overall client satisfactionSkillsSound knowledge of various project management & agile methodsSignificant understanding of the Utility marketProcess orientated, able to govern against best practiceSound knowledge of software project delivery lifecyclesStrong communication, negotiation, and influencing skillsProficiency in English & ability to work in multicultural environmentsComplex project management experience (7+ years)5 years or more experience managing GIS or ADMS software implementation projectsKnowledge of financial aspects of project management including standard project KPIsEnterprise Resource Planning ERP software or Adobe Workfront to plan resourcesProject management software (Microsoft Project)Remote management experienceBachelor's degree in relevant fieldTravel availability up to 25% of the time (North American Region)Must be legally eligible to work in the United StatesPMP (Project Management Professional)GIS ExperienceCompany OverviewSchneider Electric specializes in the digital transformation of energy management and automation.
