The Software Engineer, Infrastructure will be responsible for the full lifecycle development of privacy-focused telecommunications infrastructure, while also building and maintaining monitoring systems to enhance reliability and performance.ResponsibilitiesBe responsible for the full lifecycle development of our privacy-focused telecommunications and deployment infrastructureBuild, integrate, and maintain our instrumentation and monitoring infrastructure and tooling for improving the reliability, availability, and performance of our systemHelp solve issues proactively before they become issuesBuild new or integrate with existing telecommunications infrastructure and componentsOwn the technical accreditation and compliance process end-to-end for FedRampShape and influence what great software engineering practices look likeBalance short term critical business needs with long term product vision and roadmapSkills4+ years of software engineering or SRE experienceStrong familiarity with AWSFluency in Golang, Rust, Java/Kotlin, Python, or similar languageExperience with building, deploying, and using monitoring infrastructure & toolsExperience designing, building, and delivering high availability systems and infrastructurePassion for privacy and national securityA desire to work on software that has real-world impactFamiliarity with Azure and/or GCP in addition to AWSFamiliarity with mobile telecommunications technologies such as IP media subsystem (IMS), 4G/5G mobile core network functions, and/or multimedia protocolsExperience managing redundant, high availability multi-site deploymentsExperience organizing documentation to support accreditation processes such as FedRamp and ATOsBenefits401(k) match100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision premiums for you and your dependents12 weeks paid parental leave (for all parents, no waiting period)Stipends for Family-forming needsStipends for Gender-affirming careUnlimited PTOCompany OverviewCape is America's privacy-first mobile network, bringing connection without compromise to everyone.
