[Remote] Software Engineer III – AI / Multimodal Machine Learning

The role involves designing and building multimodal datasets, fine-tuning machine learning models, and developing scalable data pipelines while collaborating with cross-functional teams.ResponsibilitiesDesign and build multimodal datasets (image, video, audio, text) for training and evaluationFine-tune machine learning models using supervised fine-tuning, preference tuning, or parameter-efficient methods (LoRA/PEFT)Develop and run model evaluation frameworks, including metrics, benchmarking, and failure analysisBuild scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, deduplication, and quality controlLeverage ML models to augment, rebalance, and improve datasetsDevelop internal tools and workflows for data annotation and model evaluation (web-based interfaces)Optimize model performance through experimentation, tuning, and iterationCollaborate with cross-functional teams across ML, data, and engineeringSkills5–10+ years of experience in machine learning, AI engineering, or related rolesHands-on experience with multimodal systems (image, video, audio, and/or vision-language models)Proven experience in model fine-tuning (e.g., SFT, RLHF, LoRA, or similar approaches)Strong programming skills in PythonExperience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalentFamiliarity with modern ML tooling and ecosystemsExperience building and working with large-scale datasets and data pipelinesStrong understanding of model evaluation techniques and performance metricsExperience building or working with vision-language models or multimodal ML systemsBackground in computer vision, NLP, or audio MLExperience running ML workloads on distributed or production infrastructureExperience building internal tools or annotation platforms (React / TypeScript or similar)Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, AI, or related fieldCompany Overview"Intelliswift, an LTTS Company, delivers world-class Digital Product Engineering, Data Management, Analytics & AI, and Digital Ent Solutions It was founded in 2001, and is headquartered in Newark, California, USA, with a workforce of 1001-5000 employees.
