This role focuses on enhancing core offerings in Email Security and threat visibility by building and maintaining comprehensive products, with a primary emphasis on back-end development.ResponsibilitiesDesign and execute software projects that are crucial to Abnormal’s success, in collaboration with a team of engineers, through conception, design, implementation, launch, and operationProvide guidance and mentorship for junior members of the teamCollaborate with Technical Program Managers, Product Managers, and GTM teams to implement, verify, and iterate on issues and requests from our customersRaise the standard of excellence in engineering by actively sharing knowledge within the team and engaging in professional development activitiesHit the ground running by contributing to the team's work within the first two weeksSkillsBS degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, or other related engineering field3+ years of industry experience designing & building fullstack software applicationsExpert in Python and/or Go skillsIntermediate React, Redux, JS/TypescriptExperience building features & components from scratch and operating them, balancing feature development work with operational tasksOpen to following pre-established guidelines, coding practices, and conventionsExperience working with distributed teams, proficient in asynchronous and written communicationYou're growth-driven & looking to increase impact & responsibility over timeYou're able to leverage AI Developer tools such as Copilot, Claude, or Cursor in your daily workflowFamiliarity with our stack: AWS, K8s, Django, Postgres/MySQL, PrometheusFamiliarity with AWS services and deployment practicesExperience working with LLM-powered tools and AI assistantsKnowledge of containerizationExperience with distributed systemsBenefitsBonus or incentive compensationEquityA comprehensive benefits packageCompany OverviewAbnormal AI is the leading AI-native human behavior security platform.
