They are seeking a Software Engineer II - Front End to build and maintain user-facing applications, ensuring accessibility standards are met and collaborating with various teams to deliver complete features.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain user-facing applications using Angular, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript, implementing designs from Figma specifications using federal Design System componentsWrite and maintain Selenium and Cypress end-to-end tests for UI workflows, contributing to automated test coverage targets for all new and modified codeEnsure frontend implementations meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards in collaboration with the UX/Accessibility enabling teamDebug, optimize, and monitor work across test and production environments, participating in CI/CD pipeline contributions as appropriateParticipate in mandatory peer code review and adhere to the four-eyes principle on all commitsCollaborate with backend engineers, QA, and UX designers to deliver complete features from story refinement through production deploymentParticipate in SAFe ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectivesContribute to Design System component development, helping maintain consistency across program modulesSupport on-call rotations as needed and develop cross-functional knowledge through paired programmingSkills3+ years of relevant engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degreeMust meet federal suitability requirements and pass a background investigation as a condition of employmentProficiency in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and Angular for building modern web applicationsExperience implementing UI designs from Figma or equivalent design toolingFamiliarity with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or PlaywrightWorking knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and how they apply to frontend developmentExperience working within CI/CD pipelines and version control via Git/GitLabAbility to collaborate effectively across engineering, QA, and design disciplines in an agile environmentPrior experience with federal agency digital services or government contracting environmentsFamiliarity with Design System governance and component library contribution workflowsExperience with accessibility testing tools such as Axe, pa11y, ANDI, JAWS, or NVDAExposure to SAFe or scaled Agile delivery frameworksExperience working within a federal Design System or USWDS component standardsBenefitsCompany-subsidized health, dental, and vision insuranceFlexible PTO401K with employer matchPaid parental leave after one year of serviceEmployee Assistance ProgramCompany OverviewAd Hoc is a digital services company that helps the federal government better serve people.
