Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high-volume services that enable dynamic content on Amazon devices and applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and services
Take a long-term perspective on design, proactively identifying and addressing technical gaps or proposing larger projects
Understand the business impact of your systems and demonstrate good judgment when making technical trade-offs
Drive engineering best practices and set standards for the team
Contribute to the professional development of colleagues, improving their technical knowledge and engineering practices
Requirements:
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of experience with at least one programming language
2+ years of experience leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems
Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and deployment
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
