[Remote] Software Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ICONMA is seeking a Software Engineer for their client in the Internet Content & Information sector. The role involves supporting engineering initiatives, designing and maintaining software components, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver project outcomes.ResponsibilitiesSupport time-bound engineering initiatives. The individual in this role will deliver defined project outcomes in collaboration with internal stakeholders, following established technical standards and processesDesign, build, test, and maintain software components and services to meet defined project requirements and timelinesImplement well-structured, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews and technical documentationTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across development, test, and production environments as applicableCollaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., product, infrastructure, quality) to clarify requirements and deliver solutionsFollow applicable security, privacy, and data-handling practices while developing and supporting software deliverablesProvide status updates on work progress, risks, and dependencies to relevant stakeholdersSkills4-8 + years of experience requiredExperience developing software in one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C/C++, Go)Experience with common software engineering practices (e.g., version control, unit testing, debugging, CI/CD, code reviews)Familiarity with building and operating scalable services and/or modern application architecturesStrong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver scoped work within defined timelinesAbility to work effectively in a distributed environmentStrong ability to adapt, collaborate within teams, and willing to learn and grow within roleStrong product sense - able to see their work as a tool to reach the product's ultimate goals and solve real world problemsOpen to using AIBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experienceA good personality and ability to collaborate/work well within the team is most important.
