They are seeking a Software Development Engineer, iOS to contribute to the design system and reusable components for Zillow's iOS experience, collaborating with design, product, and engineering teams to improve quality and efficiency.ResponsibilitiesBuild and improve reusable iOS components, patterns, and tooling that support Zillow’s design system and product experiencesContribute to the implementation and architecture of design system features, writing high-quality Swift with strong testing practicesUse AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully, applying sound judgment about when to rely on generated output and when to validate it independentlyHelp define and uphold iOS standards, including accessibility best practicesSupport testing strategies, code quality improvements, and regular releases to partner teamsDiagnose and resolve integration issues for teams adopting Constellation and other shared system capabilitiesCreate documentation and educational content that help partner teams adopt the design system more effectivelyCollaborate with design, product, and engineering partners to stay aligned on roadmap priorities and improve the developer and designer experienceSkillsBS/MS in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience3+ years of professional software development experienceProficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, with strong familiarity with iOS platform conventions and Human Interface GuidelinesStrong understanding of application performance, including concurrency, memory efficiency, and smooth scrollingA track record of delivering high-quality, maintainable code within deadlinesExperience with build tools, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelinesExperience using AI-assisted coding tools effectively, with good judgment about when generated output should be reviewed, tested, or revisedExperience building accessible iOS experiencesBenefitsIn addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.Employees in this role will not be paid below the salary threshold for exempt employees in the state where they reside.This role has been categorized as a Remote position.“Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company.Company OverviewZillow is an online real estate marketplace for finding and sharing information about homes, real estate, and mortgages.
